Delete your Riar account

You can delete your Riar account and everything in it at any time. You don't need the app installed to ask.

In the app

Go to Settings, then Your data, then Delete my account, and confirm. If you pay for Plus or Household, cancel the subscription in the App Store or Google Play too: deleting your account doesn't stop the store charging you.

Without the app

Email privacy@riar.ie with the subject "Delete my Riar account", from the email address you sign in with. If you sign in with a phone number, include it, and we'll text you a code to confirm the request is yours. We confirm by email once it's done.

What gets deleted

• Your account and sign-in details, including any passkeys and Sign in with Apple, Google or Microsoft links
• Every item and reminder, with its notes and attachments
• Your Outlook connection: Riar's access is removed straight away
• Your forwarding address, which stops working
• Your place in a household. Items you shared stay with the household only if another member owns them

We delete your data within [30] days of your request. We keep only what the law requires, such as payment records for paying subscribers, and nothing else. See the app privacy policy for how long each kind of data is kept.

Just want to remove some data?

In the app, Your data lets you delete single items, disconnect Outlook or reset your forwarding address without closing your account.
